England had put New Zealand into bat for the fourth match of this tri-series with Australia.
And the Black Caps were plugging along nicely on 121-2 when Jordan caught Colin de Grandhomme on the boundary.
The 29-year-old kept his cool to stretch out a right arm and pluck De Grandhomme’s looping effort out of the air on the boundary.
Somehow, Sussex bowler Jordan managed to keep his balance and avoid stepping over the boundary rope.
He delivered a very short, cool celebration before throwing back to the wicket.
Fans were delirious about the catch on Twitter.
One fan wrote: “That Chris Jordan catch….good Lord. Might have the best hands the game has seen”
Another said: “Great tekkers!! With a cool little check that his foot wasn’t touching the rope too”
And another simply put: “WHAT. A. CATCH!”
Sussex CCC themselves wrote: “An absolutely unbelievable one-handed catch from @CJordan, right on the boundary!”
Jordan also got the key wicket of Kane Williamson for 72 as England restricted New Zealand to 195 from their 20 overs.
