UFC president Dana White has dismissed Manny Pacquaio’s claim that he’s in negotiations to box Conor McGregor and has threatened to sue the Filipino and his representatives if they have approached ‘The Notorious’.
“That would be weird, because (McGregor’s) under contract with us,” the UFC president White told MMAjunkie.
“If that’s true, I will be suing Manny Pacquiao and whoever is representing him.”
Meanwhile, White has revealed he wasn’t surprised by Georges St-Pierre’s decision to vacate the UFC middleweight title.
“I thought I would be (p****d), but I’m not. I expected it,” White told the media following UFC Fresno.
“Listen, I had him sign a contract that said he would defend against Whittaker for a reason. Because I knew he wouldn’t.”
And finally, Cub Swanson has revealed he felt like he was ‘going to die’ when trying to fight out of Brian Ortega’s guillotine choke during their UFC Fight Night 123 bout.
“I felt like I was going to die,” Swanson said at the post-fight press conference.
Swanson further reflected on his performance by saying: “It was awesome as far as feeling my flow out there and being a little more calm and picking my shots.
“I felt like I was picking him apart.”
